Night of the Mayas: Silvestre Revueltas Music Album - Classical Mexican Orchestral Masterpiece for Concerts, Study & Cultural Appreciation

The all-black plainness of the CD cover doesn't do justice to the fiery and powerful symphonic music of Mexico's greatest composer. Until I heard the NAU Wind Symphony in Flagstaff perform his work La noche de los Mayas, I never heard of him. The performance of that work was so stirring and astounding that it nearly rocked me out of my seat. Was so pleased that Amazon carried the CD, especially when the last four tracks: Piano - I'm a classically trained pianist btw - and La noche de los Mayas were well worth the cost alone!
