Quite often CD re-issues of albums are simply a transfer from the masters used for the vinyl pressings. Problem is, these masters were made to counteract issues that occurred during mass production of vinyl records and/or characteristics of a record player stylus and playback. Often this meant over-emphasized high frequencies and muddy bass. Which is what my previous copy (which was an original CD re-issue from 'way back) sounded like...THIS particular CD is the result of producers going back to the multi-track studio master tape, setting up the instrumental mix to reflect the flat frequency response of CD's.Bottom line: This album never sounded so good outside of the studio, and reflects what BK would have heard... Recommended!
